Presentation at an International Convention
Giving an oral or poster presentation at an international convention. The PhD student will study the offer of International Conventions of interest for his/her area of knowledge and, after obtaining the approval of his/her supervisor, will register for the International Convention. The convention organisers will be informed according to the rules and deadlines established by the Scientific Committee. PhD students may engage in this activity as soon as they are admitted to the programme. It is estimated that the preparation of the presentation and attendance to the convention will take approximately 5 days of work for the student.
Person Responsible or teaching and and Assessment
Attend at least one international convention during the 4 or 7 years of the programme full-time or part-time student, and present an oral or poster communication.
After the participation at the National Convcention, the PhD student must upload the certificate of the given presentation, issued for this purpose by the Organising Committee of the event, to the corresponding activity on LAUREA ACADEMIC. This certificate will be the proof of completion of the activity (not the poster or oral presentation). The student's tutor will visualise and evaluate the assignment.
- Ability to make original and significant contributions, recognized by the international scientific community in Health Sciences research.
- Integrate the knowledge acquired to propose and coordinate research in the field of Health Sciences, elaborate adequate and original conclusions and communicate them to specialized and non-specialized audiences.
- Ability to participate in scientific discussions at international level in the field of Health Sciences.
- To know the basic procedures and the importance of scientific dissemination.
- Ability to establish relationships with the main national and international research groups in the field of Health Sciences.
