The Vice-Rectorate for Research is an essential part of the structure of the Catholic University of San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM), and the mission of its members is to provide service and guidance to both our researchers and our students. All of this is aimed at promoting research and the transfer of knowledge to the productive sector, thereby contributing to progress, social well-being, and business competitiveness.
Center for Innovation and Business Acceleration | UCAM HiTech
A business innovation and acceleration center created by UCAM (Catholic University of Murcia), whose objective is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and applied research in the fields of health, sports, and nutrition. It aims to create a collaborative ecosystem for research, innovation, and entrepreneurship involving various stakeholders (companies, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, etc.).
We will develop a comprehensive UCAM HiTech entrepreneurship support program that will help innovative business projects in the areas of health, sports and food that are in any stage of development, from ideation and validation to acceleration and market launch.
High-Performance Sports Center | CIARD
The proposal to establish the UCAM Research Center for High-Performance Sports (CIARD-UCAM) is rooted in the growing social need within our environment for research, assessment, monitoring, and consulting regarding athletic performance levels.
The research center currently supports elite athletes—such as Mireia Belmonte (swimming), David Cal (canoeing), and Nicolás Almagro (tennis), among more than 60 other sponsored Olympians—as well as teams like UCAM Murcia CB (ACB League) and UCAM Murcia CF (Segunda División B), assisting in their preparation and the enhancement of their high-level athletic performance.
