Presentation of Research Results
Compulsory annual activity in which the PhD student presents the most relevant research results obtained during the last year. Students will have to give as many presentations as the number of years they are enrolled in the PhD. To pass this annual activity, students can proceed in two ways:
- At least once during the duration of their PhD programme, must students participate in the UCAM International Doctoral School annual Doctoral Conference.
- The other years students will have to participate in the workshops organised by the academic committee of the PhD programme. The deposit of the PhD thesis may be accepted in order to pass this training activity in the academic year in which it is submitted.
Person Responsible or teaching and and Assessment
Participation in regular meetings for the presentation and discussion of research results, including a literature review of the state of the art in their field, as well as the planning and design of new experiments.
Evidence of participation in the UCAM Doctoral Conference (abstract, poster or oral presentation, and certificate of participation) must be submitted on the virtual campus. Evidence of participation in the workshops organised by the PhD programme's academic committee (summary and certificate of participation issued by the assessment committee) must be submitted on the virtual campus. The head of the activity will evaluate the submitted work. If the evaluation is favourable, the head will forward the information to EIDUCAM, which will issue a certificate of successful completion. The campus evidence and the certificate must be uploaded on Laurea for validation by the tutor and to form part of your PhD thesis portfolio.
