The Research Seminars
Every PhD student must complete 21 compulsory hours of research seminars, that may be covered in three different ways:
- By attending a minimum of 7 seminars in the same academic year, from those offered through email or similar.
- By taking one of the courses offered in the transversal training of the UCAM International Doctoral School (EIDUCAM).
- By attending, at the institution of his/her choice, an equivalent training course of 21 hours or more, at pre-doctoral university level, and then applying to his/her tutor for recognition.
Person Responsible or teaching and and Assessment
The aim of this activity is for doctoral students to learn about the latest methodological and information search techniques and/or the research being carried out within their programme in order to establish collaborations between different lines of the programme.
Competencies
CB14: Ability to critically analyse, evaluate and synthesise new and complex ideas.
CB15: Ability to communicate with the academic and scientific community and with society in general about their areas of knowledge in the modes and languages commonly used in their international scientific community.
The seminars will be recorded and made available to doctoral students on the virtual campus, together with the teaching materials provided, so that they can take them during the specified period.
In each seminar, the submission of the exercises that all students must complete via the virtual campus will be recorded, and the assessment will be determined by the correction of the exercises completed.
