Communication Congress / National Conference
Presentation of an oral or poster communication at a National Congress/Conference (Spanish territory). It can be at the Doctoral Days annually organized by EIDUCAM, provided that the student attends them. Doctoral students can participate in this activity from the time they are admitted to the program. The preparation of the communication and attendance at the congress is estimated to require approximately 5 days of work from the student. Each doctoral student, guided by their supervisor(s), will conduct a study of the National Congresses/Conferences of interest for their area of knowledge. Before deciding to participate in an event, they must obtain approval from their supervisor(s).
Attendance at the UCAM DOCTORAL WORKSHOPS is mandatory for newly admitted students, during which they must present their research plan in poster format. Therefore, attending the workshops and presenting their research plan can serve to justify this activity during the first academic year of the doctoral program.
Person Responsible or teaching and and Assessment
The objective of this activity is for doctoral students to analyze and synthesize part of their research results in order to prepare an oral presentation or poster of sufficient quality to be accepted by the scientific committee of a national conference in their field of expertise. Participation in this type of conference will also enable them to establish collaborations with researchers in their field.
Participation in this type of event will be approved when the doctoral student submits the certificate of attendance and participation in the form of an oral presentation or poster, issued for this purpose by the Organising Committee of the National Conference/Symposium. The certificate must be uploaded to the activity enabled in LAUREA ACADEMIC and will then be validated by your supervisor. Procedure: After participating in the National Conference/Symposium, the doctoral student must upload the certificate of the presentation, issued for this purpose by the Organising Committee of the event, to the corresponding task for this activity in LAUREA ACADEMIC. This certificate will serve as proof of completion of the activity (not the poster or oral presentation). The certificate will be sent to the doctoral student's ‘@alu.ucam.edu’ email address before the end of July each academic year. The student's tutor will view and evaluate the task in LAUREA ACADEMIC.
In order for this participation to be validated, the conference must have a scientific committee and a system for evaluating contributions, so that the work has been previously reviewed and accepted.
An ORAL PRESENTATION OR POSTER may be submitted at a national conference/symposium on a topic related to the development of the student's thesis, which the student would have completed prior to admission to the Doctoral Programme. To do so, the student must upload the aforementioned evidence to LAUREA ACADEMIC, where the supervisor will evaluate and validate it as appropriate.
