Communication International Congress

Presentation of a paper (oral or poster) at an international conference. Doctoral students will research international conferences relevant to their field of study and, after obtaining approval from their supervisor, will register for the international conference and submit their paper in accordance with the rules and deadlines set by the conference's scientific committee. Doctoral students may participate in this activity from the moment they are admitted to the program. It is estimated that preparing the paper and attending the conference will require approximately five days of work on the part of the student.

This is an OPTIONAL activity, and students may choose to do this activity OR the National/International Stay activity (or both).

The objective of this activity is for doctoral students to analyze and synthesize part of their research results in order to prepare a paper of sufficient quality to be accepted by the Scientific Committee of an international conference in their field of expertise, in the form of an oral presentation or poster. Participation in this type of conference will also enable them to establish collaborations with researchers in their field at the international level.

After participating in the International Conference, doctoral students must upload the certificate for the presentation, issued for this purpose by the event's Organizing Committee, to the corresponding task for this activity in LAUREA ACADEMIC. If the conference organizers do not issue a certificate for the presentation, it may be justified by means of the abstract book. The certificate or book of abstracts will serve as proof of completion of the activity (not the poster or oral presentation). The student's tutor will view and evaluate the assignment in LAUREA ACADEMIC.

In order for this participation to be validated, the conference must have a scientific committee and a system for evaluating contributions, so that the work has been previously reviewed and accepted.

The activity may be recognized if an ORAL PRESENTATION OR POSTER has been submitted at an international conference on a topic related to the thesis, which the student would have completed prior to admission to the doctoral program. To do so, the student must upload the aforementioned evidence to LAUREA ACADEMIC, and the supervisor will evaluate and validate it as appropriate.
